Merry Christmas! My crafty client Tara wanted to DIY something sweet for the ladies of her family and needed some help in the handwriting department (that's where I come in handy ;)). Her plan was to make personalized mugs, then fill them with wax so they could be candles - how cute?
To make these monogrammed mugs (Dollar Tree, $1), I simply used oil-based markers (Michael's, $3.99), which are said to stick better than your regular ol' Sharpie, though I still believe it's best never to toss these handmade ones in the dishwasher. I drew the classic, swirly (some might say "sorority") monograms on each one. Then, to make them festive, I drew two holly plants around the letters, and one tiny one on the bottom right back.
SO EASY to make and super beautiful and festive! A personalized gift for family and friends always leaves the nicest touch with loved ones. Happy crafting!
